About Hook & Ladder Restaurant
The Hook & Ladder Restaurant, a family restaurant, owned by Stanley T. Sadlak and located in the historical district of Hartford on 207 Main Street, has been newly renovated to make all of our patrons feel like they're sitting in a firehouse. This 104 seat full-service restaurant has been created with the vision of restoring life back into the South Green area.
The mission of our restaurant is to serve incredibly good food in an atmosphere that allows our patrons to feel the passion of the brotherhood of firemen. The decor is reminiscent of those firefighters, past and present, who risk their lives in order to serve and protect our communities. With its photographs and firehouse memorabilia, it is our hope that the comfort, good food and patronage by local firefighters will allow our customers to feel that they are part of this special brotherhood. They can enjoy our lounge with a cozy brick fireplace and we will also hold special evenings for local fire departments.
Our menu is very affordable and includes favorites such as steamed and grilled hot dogs, grilled burgers, steaks, fish, pizza, chowders, salads, vegetarian specialties and daily specials. The restaurant is a place where firemen, police officers, construction workers, sports fans and business people can come in and enjoy a bite to eat with a cold soda, beer or cocktail. This is also a place where families can enjoy a reasonably priced lunch or dinner.
